how we started
In the heart of humanity’s shared journey, Rigel Foundation stands as a radiant symphony of compassion and love. Founded on the 1st of February 2020 by visionaries Udayaditya, Shounak, and Suvaiyu, each heartbeat of the foundation echoes a tale of profound kindness, weaving a tapestry of hope that transcends the ordinary.
Picture the tender threads of benevolence intertwining with stories of resilience and dreams deferred. Every initiative is a heartfelt melody, played with instruments of empathy and care. It’s a soulful dance where Rigel Foundation embraces the forgotten, painting their lives with hues of possibility and dignity.

OUR Flagship Events
Our flagship event with several other subsidiary events aligned with it. Umeed aims at providing basic educational amenities to the future of the nation. The orphans/underprivileged though talented should get an equal opportunity for exploring their own ideas & thoughts& nurture their inner hunger of knowledge.

The subsidiary events were: Minds to Ignite- Stationary Kit Donation & Drawing Competition in Providence Home & Be The Light- Stationary Kit Donation in Embassy of hope. Both the events cater more than 100 orphan kids with basic educational amenities of notebooks, pen, pencils, drawing book & many more items. The flagship event was conducted in the year of 2024-25 in association with student interns of St. Xaviers’ University Kolkata enrolling 4 students directly in a privately run English Medium school under West Bengal government, Lila Devi Memorial Institute. All the educational expenses along with their school expenses would be insured via this scheme.
