Maa

Breaking Taboos, Empowering Women. A movement dedicated to menstrual health, dignity, and empowerment through education and action.

Why Maa?

Because every woman deserves dignity—not shame. Because knowledge is power. Because it's time to talk openly and honestly about periods, transforming silence into strength.

In many parts of India, menstruation is still taboo—shrouded in myths, silence, and social restrictions. This lack of conversation leads to misinformation, poor hygiene practices, and diminished self-esteem among young women. The Maa initiative directly confronts these challenges by creating safe, educational spaces. We aim to dismantle age-old stigmas by giving a voice to the unspoken, providing essential support to the underserved, and fostering a new generation of confident, informed individuals.

Key Highlights of the Event

Women's Sanitation Presentation

🌸 Women's Sanitation Workshops

Our expert-led sessions provide crucial information on menstrual hygiene, the use of sanitary products, and overall wellness. We go beyond lectures, incorporating interactive group discussions and myth-busting quizzes to ensure the information is engaging, practical, and truly sinks in.

Debate Competition

💬 Empowering Debate Competitions

We believe in nurturing the leaders of tomorrow. Our debate competitions encourage students to think critically and speak confidently about topics like menstruation, women's empowerment, and social awareness, fostering essential skills for advocacy and change.

Talk Show

🎤 Insightful Talk Shows

These powerful conversations bring together health experts, activists, and educators to share their knowledge and experiences. The talk shows serve as a platform to openly address difficult questions, break down stubborn taboos, and build a collective sense of confidence and community.
