About Udayaditya

Born and brought up in Kolkata, West Bengal, Udayaditya Parbat spent his early childhood in Chandigarh, Punjab, before returning to Kolkata — where his spirit of exploration and passion for leadership began to flourish. He completed his schooling at Sudhir Memorial Institute and is currently pursuing Computer Science Engineering from the prestigious KIIT University.

His deep love for technology, design, and innovation has driven him to consistently explore new horizons. A dynamic speaker, leader, and visionary, Udayaditya’s commitment to making a difference has been the foundation of everything he does — from school leadership to nonprofit impact.

Journey with Rigel

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Udayaditya, alongside the other founders and fellow students, initiated efforts to help those in need — which led to the formation of what was initially known as Empower India, later rebranded as the Rigel Foundation.

At just 15 years old, he became one of India’s youngest NGO founders, setting into motion a legacy of youth-led change and action. As Rigel’s first Secretary, he worked hand-in-hand with President Mr. Suvaiyu Saha, successfully executing 50+ impactful events in the early years — setting the benchmark for Rigel’s future growth.

From then on, Udayaditya has played a central role in expanding Rigel’s reach, building partnerships, and scaling projects — with a relentless commitment to development, youth empowerment, and social reform.

A Message To the Readers

Rigel is not just an NGO — it’s a dream, a vision to make the world a better place.
From providing education to those who need it most, to addressing taboo topics like women’s sanitation — we strive to create change where it’s needed the most.

We aim to break the stereotype that NGOs are only run by the elderly. We are the youth, the driving force of this nation, proving that teenagers and young adults can lead, inspire, and transform society.

As Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam rightly said,

“Youth is the future of India.”

At Rigel, we believe no work is small or big — every act of kindness, every step forward, every effort to make a difference, is what makes us human. That is what sets us apart.

Come forward. Be the change. Show the world what the youth can do.
